Egypt - 10$
Easily one Philly's most-well
known and popular night clubs. One of the largest dance floors on Delaware
Avenue. Great bar and lounging area. Ideal for couples or singles.Three
same level dance floors. Q102 hosts club and dance music here every Saturday.
Expect peak crowd around midnight.Sample the sounds

Shampoo- 10$
2 years running Shampoo
caters to the stylish and exotic night life. VIP area and guess list line
keep onlookers at a distance. Peak crowd around midnight. 3 different level
dance floors, rap, house and club music. Sample the sounds of Shampoo.
The Cave - Free before 11? - 5$
Half-decent, dance
floor is kind-of small. A 10 foot industrial fan faces the floor, giving
the feel of a dance music video in the making. No real lounge area and
the tables and chairs make standing more comfortable. Music is good, and
the DJ's participate in hyping up the crowd. Saturdays are best. Thursdays
are Ladys' Night with male dancers in the back room, so I'v been told.

It all starts here. Underground
House Music at its core. Sunday early AMs are a haven for true House lovers.
People from Saturday night clubs come here to turn it up a notch with the
fastest Underground House Rythyms Delaware Ave has to offer. Ear exploding
volumes and a subdued <read "mellowed out"> crowd make it the playground
of the elite. Most of the people are prepared to dance until the 4M closing.

The Tunnel -
Webster Hall - 10$
Webster Hall's - "Live at The Ballroom"
dance CD was released which included a free pass to the club. Twenty percent
of the music on the CD I could get into. They lost me with the rest. The
Club was O.K. Big auditorium dance floor and plenty of room to walk around
and watch all the action. 3 floors, rock on the top, house main floor,
80's on the bottom. This is on Saturday nights. I have not been there any
other night.
